The sea has been a lifelong fascination with me. I travelled with my family by ocean liner from Hamburg to Melbourne as a 12 year old. I experienced some of the many faces of the sea in that journey. In later life I lived in Hobart (by the seaside) and then in Townsville, a few steps from a beach. So, I have experienced most moods of the ocean, never ceasing in my want to express - in paint - the feelings evoked. "Morning Turbulence" is my attempt to show the energy of breaking waves over rocks on an early morning incoming tide.
